More Target Practice!

I'm not sure if I should find these funny?

Target Practice

I won't even try to explain why our not yet two year old is practicing shooting.

Halloween 2009

Costumes were easy this year, Mateo got a hand-me-down Stormtrooper costume over the summer and has been saying ever since that's what he wanted to be for Halloween, good news for me. Ana on the other hand does what she wants on a daily basis, I didn't know if a costume would go over very well so I didn't go out and buy or spend hours making anything. The morning of Halloween she seemed OK with dressing up a little so we dawned the tutu from last year, a princess hat she got at a birthday party, tights and to top it off her pink high top converse! It worked out great. Spent the afternoon at Daddy's work and then to a Halloween party at a friends house. They had a great day!

Mateo

We've been getting the most out of these beautiful fall days, hate to see it end tomorrow.
I like these pictures of Mateo in the tree and this one of Mateo and Kenzie. One of these days I will go through summer pics and get some out there.

Ross Lake 2009!

We started our trip to Ross Lake with a jaunt up the East side of the Olympic Peninsula. It was a gorgeous day on the water. We headed North after a night, hopped on the ferry to Whidby then up the Skagit Valley on into Ross Lake. It was an amazing trip, always beautiful and such a great time with friends, so worth the effort of the Diablo Lake Ferry, the flatbed trucks up the dam and then the speed boat trip to the cabins. Definitely will do it again next year.

The kids raking for clams.

The kids eating lots of clams, yummy!

Bye bye Port Townsend, what a great town.

Mateo catching shiners off the docks at Ross Lake. If he wasn't on the boat, he was netting shiners off the docks pretty much the entire trip.

We headed up Devils arm one afternoon. Absolutely amazing! Definitely one of the most beautiful places I have seen.

T-Ball

Ana, a faithful fan!
Mateo is #4, going after the ball. It doesn't matter what "position" they are playing they ALL go after the ball. The object is to throw the ball to first base then to home plate. If you don' t know (I didn't know) there is no such thing as strikes, outs, or runs in t-ball. They play three innings or 90 minutes.

What a slugger!

Sunshine!

I think spring has finally arrived. Its been a long time since we have seen the sun in Oregon. Lots to catch up on in the garden, good thing I have a helper. We got our Walla Wallas, beets, and peas in. Ana managed to get some play time in as well. We are pooped, when is it ever going to rain so we can rest?

Mexico

We had a great trip to Mexico with nine of our friends. We rented a house 45 minutes north of Los Barilles in Baja. It was fabulous, very secluded, very private and a great house. We swam, kayaked with dolphins, fished, and managed to stay very busy but did nothing for nine days! Our kids were lucky enough to be the only kids with nine adults, easy parenting for us. Now it’s back to reality. Here are just some of the pictures.
Mateo and Emilio spent one morning kayaking, Mateo is a great paddler! This is them landing.

Just a shot of the pool overlooking the beach as the cows meander by.

Mateo pondering what to do for the day.

She's on her way!

This is the first of many videos of Ana walking. Not many steps in this one but she is really walking now. I have been waiting for this for a long time, I am hoping she and Mateo can run around together. Outside of course. I will post another one with her taking more steps as soon as I get a good one.

Skiing

We took Mateo skiing a couple of weeks ago. We had wonderful weather and no crowds at
Mt. Bachelor, it was great! He did great and loved it. I loved skiing with him and look forward to a lot more trips.
The trip home, pooped!

Riding up the chair with mom and dad.

Slidin' down the slopes.

Practicing the "volcano" (wedge) with his instructor Mike.

A little practice before his lesson started.

The morning drive to the mountain, he was soo excited.

Delayed Photos

Sorry all, I have been a terrible blogger. The photos below are from November; T-day and Ana's birthday.
Ana's Birthday, of course she was more interested in the bows and wrapping then the presents.
Mateo enjoyed the presents more then she did.

One of my favorite pictures. This is the morning of Thanksgiving, waiting for everyone to come over.

The cousins having a slumber party after a day of turkey.
